Job summary

Rural King is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily store operations and deliver an outstanding customer experience. This role partners with the Store Manager to drive sales, develop associates, oversee merchandising and inventory, and ensure operational excellence.

You will coach associates, support recruitment, and model Rural King's values. The role requires working evenings/weekends with potential overtime and safety/compliance accountability.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience with retail operations, merchandising, inventory management, scheduling, and customer service.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, retail technology, POS systems, and inventory management systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations with the Store Manager to drive sales and ensure excellence.
• Coach and develop associates; lead performance evaluations and succession planning.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and drive loyalty initiatives.
• Support scheduling, inventory accuracy, shrink reduction, and loss prevention; ensure safety and compliance.
