The Manager in Training will be prepared to assume Store Manager responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager, ensuring excellent customer experiences and adherence to company policies. The position is hourly and non-exempt.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Maintain high-quality customer service as outlined in service manuals.
• Perform general administrative duties and learn Store Manager responsibilities.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
