Job summary

R301US Hibbett Retail, Inc. is seeking a Manager in Training in Chalmette, LA to assist the Store Manager with overall store operations and administrative duties.

You will gain knowledge across departments and promote sales while delivering outstanding customer service. You will assume supervisory responsibilities in the Store Manager’s absence and work to uphold company policies, procedures and visual standards.

Qualifications

• Retail experience, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with goals and profits.
• Self-starter with initiative for important tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking ability.
• Team-player with passion for customer service and selling merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling assets and operations.
• Collaborate on action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Act as Store Manager in their absence.
• Provide knowledge and guidance across departments when needed.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to support profitability.
• Direct staff to meet department responsibilities and standards.
• Keep Store Manager informed on inventory and customer trends.
• Maintain high-quality customer service and perform admin duties as needed.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
