Job summary

Citi Trends, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead a team, and assist with staffing and development. You will drive sales performance, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain store standards under the direction of the Store Manager.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Join our team and help deliver great value and brand experience to customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to achieve sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Supervise and coach store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and service.
• Assist with hiring, screening, onboarding, and training of staff.
• Maintain safe, organized store environment and enforce policies.
• Support merchandising, inventory control, and loss prevention.
