Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, drive sales, and lead a team under the Store Manager’s guidance. You will help manage staffing, onboarding, and development of store associates while maintaining high standards of customer service in a fast-paced environment.

In this role you will assist with recruiting, training, and coaching, monitor performance, and ensure compliance with company policies and loss prevention procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.
• Customer-focused execution and operational accountability.
• Adaptability in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with inventory control, inventory transactions, and shrink prevention.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies and standards.
• Supervise and support staff in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training support.
• Help maintain staffing levels through recruiting and retention.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to associates.
• Maintain a safe, organized store environment and adherence to loss prevention standards.
