Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, lead the team, and assist with staffing and development. You will help drive sales, maintain standards, and ensure staffing levels align with store needs.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, to meet customer and business needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention efforts.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies, procedures, and standards.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist Store Manager with hiring, recruiting, onboarding, and training support.
• Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance support to associates.
• Maintain a safe, organized store environment and reinforce policy adherence.
• Support merchandising, operational, and visual standards.
