Job summary

S and G stores in Ohio is seeking a Store Manager to lead a single unit, drive sales, ensure compliance with laws and company policies, and train staff to handle customer service issues. This is a salaried exempt role with a 50-hour work week requirement.

The position requires supervisory experience, strong communication, and deep knowledge of retail operations, merchandising, and loss prevention programs.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Completion of the Assistant Store Manager Training program and other required trainings and certifications.
• Good understanding of Company systems and technology.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to research and resolve issues.
• Knowledge of retail business management practices.
• Knowledge of store transactions and related programs.
• Knowledge of handling customer and employee injuries, incidents and accidents.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service leadership and direction for entire store and team of employees in the same location.
• Ensures employees follow all Company policies.
• Promotes and maintains a clean and organized store appearance inside and out.
• Fosters an environment focused on customer service and satisfaction.
• Promotes staff retention by developing leaders and empowering employees.
• Responds quickly to emergencies for safety and security of customers and employees.
• Ensures merchandising and marketing programs are executed properly with plan-o-gram integrity.
• Maximizes sales and educates staff on selling initiatives.
• Monitors store activities to ensure proper transactions.
• Ensures foodservice products are fresh and rotated; removes out-of-date items.
• Completes store reports and performance appraisals in a timely fashion.
