Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help drive daily store operations, lead the team, and support staffing efforts in Lake Charles. You will partner with the Store Manager to boost sales performance, ensure operational excellence, and develop store associates through onboarding and training.

The role requires strong communication, people leadership, and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends, to meet store needs and customer demand.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to achieve sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of store associates.
• Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to team members.
