Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily store operations, drive sales, and support the Store Manager with staffing and development of associates.

You will supervise and coach team members, assist with recruiting and onboarding, and ensure compliance with policies while upholding customer service and merchandising standards. This role is based in the New Orleans area with a flexible schedule to cover nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent service.
• Assist with inventory control, transactions, and shrink prevention.
• Assist Store Manager with hiring and onboarding of store associates.
• Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance support to associates.
• Maintain a safe, organized, customer-focused store environment.
• Reinforce adherence to policies, procedures, and loss prevention standards.
• Perform additional duties to support store operations and business needs.
