Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in LaPlace, LA to support daily store operations, lead a team, and assist with staffing. You will drive sales performance, ensure operational excellence, and develop store associates under the Store Manager's guidance.

The role requires 2–4 years in an assistant manager or similar retail leadership position, strong communication, and a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Citi Trends offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to ensure sales goals, customer experience standards, and operational expectations are consistently met.
• Monitor sales activity and provide guidance to associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Assist with inventory control, inventory transactions, and shrink prevention efforts.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist the Store Manager with hiring and recruiting activities, including candidate screening, interviews, onboarding, and training support.
