Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help maintain a clean, organized store with a customer-first focus. Under the Store Manager's direction, you will assist with supervision, merchandising, deposits, and store financial integrity while protecting company assets.

You will lead customer service, open/close duties, scheduling, training, and compliance. Other duties include stock rotation, planograms, inventory control, and supporting the manager in their absence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Retail or supervisory experience preferred: 1 year in retail, 6 months supervisory.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet customers, operate cash register and scanner.
• Open and close the store at least two days per week.
• Assist with scheduling, training, safety meetings and policy compliance.
• Manage merchandise flow: receiving, stocking, displays, planograms.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and control damages and markdowns.
• Assist with refunds, cash control and deposits.
• Support Store Manager in absence of the Manager.
