Qualifications

• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including cashier accountability and deposit control.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, safety rules, operating instructions.
• Strong inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices.
• Compliance with federal and state labor laws and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and policies; ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training and evaluations; address gaps with counseling or termination when needed.
• Recommend pay rates and promotion decisions based on performance.
• Communicate expectations; lead safety and policy adherence through regular meetings.
• Open and close the store reliably several times per week and maintain staffing.
