Job summary

Family Dollar in Brooklyn, NY is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will help with opening/closing, organize merchandise, and ensure promotional displays meet standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ability to read and interpret operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties in a fast paced environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide staff training.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures and process corporate directives.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and handling payroll/scheduling and cash deposits.
