Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help keep the store clean, well-organized and customer-focused. You will assist with supervision of staff, merchandising, deposits and paperwork, while protecting assets and reducing losses.

Responsibilities include leading customer service, scheduling, training, and ensuring planograms and inventory integrity. This role requires reliability, basic math, and cash-handling duties in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership and operate cash register.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling, training, and safety meetings.
• Manage merchandise with planograms, stocking, and displays.
• Maintain accurate inventory, control damages and deposits.
• Assist with store management in the Store Manager's absence.
