Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Store Manager to support the management and duties of store operations to meet financial and sales goals. You will build associate and customer relations and promote a strong culture aligned with Food Lion Strategy.

In this role you will hire, train, coach and develop associates, lead by example, ensure safety and food safety standards, and drive excellent customer service across departments. This is a full-time, on-site position in Anderson, SC.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent preferred.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• Strong understanding of store operations and merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements.
• Good judgment solving problems, decisions, handling complaints and disputes.
• Desire and ability to lead and manage associates across departments.
• Must meet physical requirements and age requirements and accreditation for food safety.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, and develop associates.
• Provide leadership and motivation aligned with our Guiding Principles and Strategy.
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisal and disciplinary actions.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when Store Manager is absent.
• Assist the Store Manager with day-to-day operations of the store.
• Maximize sales through excellent customer service and minimize shrink.
• Ensure safety, food safety, and security standards are maintained.
• Interact with associates to ensure Food Lion expectations and training.
• Utilize financial reports and scheduling and business information systems.
