Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Carson City, NV is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. The role involves assisting with daily activities, organizing merchandise, training associates, and helping with opening and closing procedures while ensuring safety and policy compliance.

You will contribute to a positive environment, supervise and develop Store Associates, manage inventories, and help protect company assets.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks including walking, standing, bending, and climbing.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping (payroll, scheduling, deposits).
