Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and develop a cohesive team in Capitol Heights, Maryland.

The role includes assisting with daily store activities, organizing merchandise, executing opening/closing procedures, supporting loss prevention, and ensuring a clean, well-stocked sales floor. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environment preferred.
• Able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support loss prevention, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling processes.
• Maintain a well-stocked, clean, and presentable sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Assist in training and developing Store Associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment and adhere to policies.
