ALDI Brand in Portland, ME is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to supervise day-to-day store activities, drive performance, manage schedules, and develop operational action plans while identifying training opportunities to grow the team.

Starting wage is $26.50 per hour with a wage increase to $27.50 in year 2. Average hours are 38 per week. Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

• HL students must be 18+ and able to work independently or with a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to stay organized and multi-task in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Meets state/local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.

Responsabilités

• Assist with supervising day-to-day store activities and overall store performance.
• Manage schedules, train staff, and develop operational action plans.
• Ensure inventory, product signage, pricing, and cash control procedures.
• Recruit, interview, and onboard store personnel with leadership.
• Maintain store cleanliness and signage; merchandize to maximize sales.
• Monitor payroll, losses, and budget; escalate issues as needed.
• Provide product feedback and communicate with leadership on major milestones.
