Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear in Indio, CA is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations and administration. You will be knowledgeable across product areas, uphold policies, and promote merchandise with a focus on outstanding customer service.

You will fill in for the Store Manager in their absence and lead the team during peak periods. The role requires a passion for customer service, familiarity with store policies, and the ability to supervise staff while driving

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the Store Manager's absence.
• Assist in overall personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments.
• Maintain awareness of inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure each department's responsibilities are completed.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure quality customer service is maintained.
• Perform general administrative duties and learn Store Manager responsibilities.
• Deliver extraordinary customer service and promote services and merchandise.
