Job summary

Hibbett, Inc. in Carroll, IA is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in daily operations, customer service and merchandising. You should be knowledgeable in each product area and ready to act in the Store Manager’s absence.

You will help plan and schedule, train staff, manage assets and inventory, and ensure profitability while delivering outstanding service to every customer.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Consult with Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist in overall personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
• Be aware of inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability in all departments.
• Direct staff to ensure each department’s responsibilities and standards are completed.
• Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Ensure quality customer service is maintained.
• Perform general administrative duties and learn Store Manager’s responsibilities.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise provided by Hibbett I City Gear.
