Hibbett, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager for our Illinois store. You will support the Store Manager in daily operations, merchandising, customer service, and supervising staff to achieve store goals.

You’ll oversee selling floor activities, restocking, scheduling, and training, ensuring policy compliance and excellent service. This role reports to the Store Manager and requires enthusiasm for teamwork and delivering outstanding customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred, footwear/athletic apparel is a plus.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team leadership and ability to train staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Assume store supervision in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Oversee personnel recruiting, training and evaluation.
• Provide knowledge and guidance to employees and customers.
• Monitor inventory, sales stats and expenses to support profitability.
• Direct staff to meet department responsibilities and standards.
• Promote and sell services and merchandise offered by Hibbett I City Gear.
• Uphold company policies and procedures.
