Job summary

Sunrun is seeking a Clean Energy District Manager to coach and manage a team of Ambassadors across retail locations. In-field role with regular store visits, you will hire, train, and supervise staff, drive field sales, and ensure alignment with performance goals.

You’ll lead staffing plans, coordinate in-store events, and monitor KPIs to optimize results while maintaining retailer satisfaction and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 2+ years direct people management experience with a proven track record.
• 3+ years in a quota-driven sales position preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build a thriving team culture.
• Experience with lead generation and consumer sales preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with email, Excel, Word and CRM tools (Salesforce); Google Suite preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to commute to job sites, including retail locations.

Responsibilities

• Source, interview, hire and onboard top talent Clean Energy Ambassadors with recruiting support.
• Deliver new hire and ongoing training; coach to increase in-store productivity.
• Drive toward team lead generation and sales goals set by Sales Leaders.
• Daily supervision of Clean Energy Ambassadors’ performance.
• Plan staffing levels at retail locations and optimize hours.
• Serve as Sunrun’s main point of contact at each retail location and coordinate in-store events.
• Conduct field audits to ensure in-store compliance (talk tracks, merchandising, uniforms, safety).
• Track daily/weekly/monthly results and report to leadership.
• Hold daily huddles and weekly 1:1s to monitor KPIs.
• Attend required meetings and training; maintain staff retention.
• Support rollout of new processes and change management regionally/nationally.
• Operationalize productivity plays and provide feedback to improve processes.
• Meet or exceed team and individual sales goals.
• Support Sunrun’s mission and drive growth for customers and the company.
