Job summary

Applegreen is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead shifts, ensure exceptional customer service, and enforce brand standards and food safety requirements. You will aid in training new team members and monitor cash handling compliance.

The role requires standing for extended periods and flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays at travel plaza locations across the Northeast and Midwest. Competitive benefits support employees and their families.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Provide friendly customer service and resolve customer complaints.
• Open, daily and closing procedures/checklists per policy.
• Operate POS system and process payments following cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling including labeling, dating, stocking, rotating, and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen-related tasks such as prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and upsell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety, and company policies.
• Inform leadership of observations or problems; perform other tasks as assigned.
