Job description

Once Upon a Child in Brighton is looking for a Shift Leader to join our team. This position will oversee the retail location and its staff during the afternoon/evening shifts.

The ideal candidate will be sales and team-oriented, display strong attention to detail, and maintain professionalism at all times. A shift leader is a skilled multi-tasker, holds keys to the store, and demonstrates leadership as well as exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Sales services – Report daily sales and capture all credit and cash receipts. Fill out daily reports as required and have the ability to problem-solve register issues.
2. Customer Service – Respond to customer issues and resolve their needs as they arise. Maintain a clean store environment safe from all hazards.
3. Supervise – Lead by example. Motivate the sales team with effective communication and keep other employees on task to complete goals for the day.

Requirements:

1. Previous retail experience, preferably in a leadership role.
2. Ability to stay calm, patient, and professional at all times.
3. Strong leadership skills with a proven record of motivating staff.
4. Excellent customer service skills.
