Qualifications & Experience
What You'll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities):
- Help steer the ship on busy days, motivate your crew, and ensure our guests leave with an ocean-sized smile.
- Take the helm as Supervisor on Duty – managing Retail, Admissions, Attractions, and Food & Beverage.
- Delegate tasks and monitor daily performance of front-line team members.
- Lead by example and inspire world-class service, being “guest-obsessed”.
- Enforce health & safety policies to keep everyone safe.
- Navigate guest traffic efficiently and professionally.
- Resolve guest concerns quickly and effectively.
- Lead training efforts in ride safety, food safety, profit protection, and retail excellence, maintaining accurate documentation.
- Empower team members to create WOW moments through great service and recovery.
- Coach, recognize wins, and address performance issues.
- Support your department through inventory, scheduling, training, and engagement tasks.
And of course: Be flexible and ready to assist wherever needed to ensure the attraction runs smoothly!
What We’re Looking For (Education & Experience):
- High school diploma or GED
- 6+ months of experience in attractions, retail, hospitality, or customer service
- A natural leader who can coach, train, and uplift others
- Passion for providing fun, educational, and memorable experiences to families and children
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, proactive, and playful attitude
Additional Info:
- Licenses & Certifications: Must be able to obtain any licenses/certifications as required by law or the position.
- Travel: Occasional local travel may be needed.
- Working Conditions: Must be flexible – mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays required. Regular attendance is essential.
Physical Requirements:
- Sit, stand, walk, bend, lift, twist, and reach throughout shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with or without reasonable accommodation).
- Comfortable using POS systems and basic software.
- Must be able to move around all areas of the aquarium, indoors and out, in varying temperatures.
