This role will serve as the primary reception point and collaborate with store operations to maintain a safe and secure environment for employees and customers.

The position requires de-escalation, incident response, First Aid readiness, and adherence to cannabis regulations and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Background checks and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
• Must be eligible to work under Nevada cannabis regulations.
• Must maintain First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
• Previous customer service, security, or safety-related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary reception point for customers, patients, and visitors with professional demeanor.
• Verify age by scanning valid identification and guide customers through initial purchasing steps.
• Enforce facility access rules and deny entry or request removal as required.
• De-escalate conflicts and respond to alarms, disturbances, injuries, and security incidents.
• Lead initial response to workplace injuries, provide First Aid and AED support, and assist with reporting.
• Document incident reports, witness statements, and security records.
• Coordinate with emergency services or law enforcement when escalation is needed.
• Protect company assets from theft, diversion, or other risks.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy and security requirements.
• Communicate security concerns and maintain coverage during shift transitions.

PositionSummary

The Retail Security Supervisor supports retail operations by serving in a dual-function role that combines reception and security responsibilities within the licensed retail facility. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, customers, patients, and visitors; assessing and de-escalating situations; responding to workplace injuries and security incidents; and supporting regulatory compliance within retail operations.

• Conduct customer intake procedures by verifying age through scanning valid identification and directing customers through initial purchasing steps.
• Enforcefacilityaccessrules,includingdenyingentryorrequestingindividualsleavethepremiseswhenrequiredbypolicy.
• Assess developing situations and engage with customers, patients, or employees to de-escalate conflicts, disturbances, or disruptive behavior in a calm and professional manner.
• Respondtoalarms,disturbances,injuries,accidents,securityincidents,andemergencysituations.
• Leadinitialresponsetoworkplaceinjuries,includingprovidingFirstAidandAEDsupportandassistingwithincidentdocumentationandfollow-upreporting.
