Job summary

ScanScape is hiring part-time Retail Scan Associates to perform weekly in-store data collections at selected local retailers for 52 weeks a year, including holidays. Stores vary by type and location, with scanning via a mobile app and occasional 1–2 hour custom projects per week per store.

You will scan barcodes, collect product data, and meet weekly deadlines. The role requires reliable transportation, a driver’s license, and the ability to stand for long periods in busy retail environments.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle with minimum state auto insurance coverage.
• Ability to endure being on your feet for long periods, while accessing products throughout the store.
• Ability to lift to 25 pounds, reach 6 feet in the air, and bend/stretch/stoop/stand.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements with hands, wrists, arms, and legs for prolonged periods.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Must be a deadline-driven self-starter.
• Must have access to reliable Wi-Fi.
• Must be tech savvy.
• High school diploma or GED (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Scan barcodes at assigned local retailers every week for 52 weeks a year.
• Use a mobile app to scan barcodes in various store locations.
• Provide quantity data for about 45% of scanned products as requested.
• Attend to weekly deadlines with dependable, quality-focused work.
• Report to each store within the described deadline.
• Complete display scanning across the store weekly and for special projects as needed.
• Work with multiple store types: grocery, drug, convenience, pet, mass merchandise.
