Job summary

Goodwill Industries of the Valleys is seeking a Sales Supervisor to oversee daily store operations in our Virginia retail locations. You will lead staff, ensure profitability, and promote a positive customer experience in alignment with company standards.

Responsibilities include coaching cashiers and donation attendants, managing pricing and merchandise flow, and maintaining safe, clean work areas. You will report metrics and support recruitment and onboarding under store leadership.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Strong written communication; ability to produce reports and business correspondence.
• Excellent verbal communication; ability to present information clearly and respond to questions.
• Basic math; comfortable with arithmetic operations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
• Interpersonal skills to work with supervisors, team members and diverse customers.
• Positive, friendly attitude contributing to team morale.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers and donors with prompt, courteous service.
• Lead, train, and coach staff to ensure efficient daily operations.
• Oversee pricing, sorting, and rotation of merchandise.
• Manage donations processing and movement to floor or storage.
• Maintain clean, organized sales floor, production, and intake areas.
• Track daily sales metrics and report discrepancies to management.
• Ensure cash handling procedures and cashier balancing are followed.
