Job summary

Rack Room Shoes in the United States is seeking a Sales Associate committed to our service standards. You will meet sales and work goals set by store management, lead by example in accuracy and completeness of your work, and help present the store and merchandise in the best light.

You will handle cash carefully, process transactions through the POS system, maintain stock organization, support promotions, and participate in inventories.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with customers and staff.
• Basic communication, organization, and math skills.
• Experience in retail sales, preferably specialty retail or footwear.
• Basic knowledge of store policies and procedures.
• Basic visual merchandising skills and an understanding of Store Presentation Standards.

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience for customers through service standards.
• Maintain awareness of current sales promotions and stock presentation.
• Ensure stock is well arranged, merchandised, and store areas are clean and organized.
• Develop product knowledge and fitting skills.
• Participate in inventories, assist in shipping/receiving, and merchandise placement.
• Process all sales and POS transactions in accordance with policy; ensure shoes are matched.
