Job summary

Rack Room Shoes is seeking a customer-focused sales associate to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced retail environment. You will contribute to sales goals, help customers find the right merchandise, and support daily store operations to maintain an inviting shopping atmosphere.

Responsibilities include cash handling, merchandise presentation, promotions, and collaboration with store management. Prior retail experience in footwear is preferred, with strong communication and math skills.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with customers and staff
• Basic verbal and non-verbal communication, organization, and math skills
• Experience in retail sales, preferably footwear
• Basic knowledge of store policies and procedures
• Basic visual merchandising and store presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Create an excellent shopping experience through service standards
• Promote company rewards program and other business initiatives
• Maintain awareness of current sales promotions
• Maintain merchandise presentation and stock organization
• Develop product knowledge and fitting skills
• Maintain awareness of Loss Prevention concerns involving customers and staff
• Participate in inventories, assist in shipping/receiving merchandize as needed
• Process cashier transactions accurately and ensure mates for all shoes
