Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Senior Director of Retail Operations to oversee the Market's Retail Consumer Sales Operations, guiding field teams and supporting the Vice President of Retail Sales. You will drive efficiency, risk management, and customer loyalty across stores.

The role requires 10+ years in sales/retail ops, strong leadership, data-driven decision making, and ability to lead large cross-functional teams; extensive travel and influencing executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Ten or more years of relevant experience, demonstrated through work and/or military experience or specialized training.
• Experience in Sales and/or Retail Operations
• Leadership experience and employee development
• Experience creating executive presentations and presenting data to executive leadership
• Experience working under pressure and managing multiple projects with strong attention to detail
• Logic, quantitative, and analytical skills
• Willingness to travel over 50% of the time
• Broad industry knowledge of business operations
• Ability to lead large cross-functional teams with varying levels of participants
• Ability to multitask and adapt to changing business needs
• Experience conducting meetings, evaluating issues, providing solutions, and driving timelines

Responsibilities

• Oversee all Retail Consumer Sales Operations responsibilities for the Market
• Serve as a dedicated resource to the Vice President of Retail Sales
• Lead a team of retail operations Associate Directors
• Provide guidance for local field support, headcount and resource planning, safety/security, and executive support
• Provide strategy and program leadership for Consumer Sales operations in retail stores
• Enable sales teams with tools such as VZEngage
• Ensure operational adherence, risk management oversight, and central support for operational issues involving systems, store merchandising, sales tools/resources, and processes
• Own channel readiness and execution for enterprise initiatives, including launches, trials, and customer experience tactics
• Provide trends and insights on operational effectiveness to Consumer RVPs and market sales leadership teams
• Lead and implement operational processes and support initiatives for a Consumer Sales channel including retail distribution
• Drive efficient tool utilization and a frictionless sales experience
• Oversee development and refinement of operations policies, procedures, and best practices
• Report the Voice of the Field to stakeholders and leadership to drive business changes
• Ensure initiative integration with mobile-first and digital initiatives
