Salon Services & Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Store Assistant to support in-store merchandising, customer service, and POS transactions. The role emphasizes helpful interactions and maintaining a welcoming store environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year Retail Sales experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, clear, concise and professional.
• Ability to follow instructions with a positive attitude.
• Comfortable with the use of computers.
• Comfortable working with numbers, able to apply basic math.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Stand and/or sit continuously to perform job functions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and deliver high levels of service with a goal of zero complaints.
• Engage customers with excellent customer service to make them feel welcome and comfortable in store.
• Contribute to sales and inventory goal attainment through promotion of products and excellent customer service.
• Assist outbound communications: calls, thank-you notes, and event invitations.
• Maintain current knowledge of products and promotions to effectively assist customers.
• Assemble and disassemble Merchandise and Promotional Displays in a timely manner at the beginning and end of promotional periods.
• Manage and maintain stock in store.
• Maintain a clean and presentable environment for customers.
• All other duties as assigned.
