Job summary

Salon Services & Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Store Assistant to help with in-store merchandising, customer service, and POS transactions. The role emphasizes greeting customers, promoting products, and maintaining stock and a clean store environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of retail sales experience, strong communication skills, and comfort with computers and basic math. ADA accommodations may be considered, and applicants will be contacted if chosen for an interview.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year Retail Sales experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions with a positive attitude.
• Comfortable with computers and basic math.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Stand and/or sit continuously to perform job functions for a full shift.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Be readily available to assist and support incoming customers with a goal of 0 customer complaints.
• Engage customers with excellent service to make them feel welcome and comfortable in store.
• Contribute to sales and inventory goals through promotion of products and great service.
• Assist in outbound communications by calling, sending or emailing thank you notes, and inviting customers to events.
• Maintain current knowledge of products and promotions to assist customers.
• Assemble and disassemble displays at promotion periods.
• Manage and maintain stock in store.
• Maintain a clean and presentable environment for customers.
• All other duties as assigned.
