Job summary

Salon Services & Supplies, Inc. is seeking a part-time Store Assistant to support in-store merchandising, customer service and POS transactions. This role offers up to 10 hours per week and potential for growth within our diverse beauty supply team.

Your responsibilities include welcoming customers, promoting products, handling cash with accuracy, using POS software, and maintaining stock and a clean shopping environment. Must be able to stand or sit and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• 1 year of retail sales experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to follow instructions with a positive attitude.
• Comfortable with computers and numbers.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be readily available to assist and support customers, providing a high level of customer service.
• Engage customers to make them feel welcome and comfortable in store.
• Promote products and contribute to sales and inventory goals.
• Assist outbound communications and invite customers to events.
• Maintain knowledge of products and promotions to assist customers.
• Assemble and disassemble displays during promotions.
• Maintain stock and a clean store environment.
• All other duties as assigned.
