Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store team member to act as the frontline contact for customers, stock and maintain plan-o-grams, and support store operations. You will unload trucks, build displays, and assist shoppers throughout shifts.

The role emphasizes greeting customers, processing purchases at the register, and helping with merchandise restocking and ordering as needed. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and safety and efficiency are valued in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication abilities.
• Understanding of safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic math skills for transactions.
• Ability to operate IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise at shelves or sales floor.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; rotate and face stock.
• Build and arrange merchandise displays.
• Assist customers in locating products and answering questions.
• Operate cash register, total purchases and provide change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners.
• Maintain store cleanliness including front-end area and restrooms.
