Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Associate to act as the frontline contact for customers, stock shelves, build displays and maintain plan-o-grams. You will assist shoppers, operate the register, and help protect store assets in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, product merchandising, and accurate cash handling while ensuring a clean, welcoming store. Prior high school education is preferred and experience with handheld scanners is beneficial.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons; stock merchandise in stock room or on sales floor.
• Build merchandise displays and rotate stock on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise and assist customers in locating items.
• Operate cash register and scanner, total purchases and bag merchandise; handle payments.
• Assist with ordering merchandise and maintain store cleanliness and order.
