Job summary

Dollar General is seeking an active team member to act as the frontline contact for customers, handling transactions and restocking. You will set up plan-o-grams, build displays, and ensure shelves are faced and stocked, while maintaining store cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities include unloading trucks, assisting customers, operating the register, and supporting ordering and merchandising processes to help maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Understanding of safety policies and practices.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram and merchandise presentation guidance.
• Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Ability to perform IBM cash register functions.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks.
• Receive, open and unpack cartons and totes; stock merchandise.
• Build merchandise displays and rotate stock on shelves.
• Restock recovered merchandise and assist customers in locating items.
• Operate cash register and bag purchases; collect payment and make change.
• Assist with ordering merchandise using handheld scanners when needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness including front end, restrooms and stockroom.
