Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store team member who serves as the customer contact, assists in setting plan-o-grams and programs, stocks merchandise, and protects company assets.

The role includes unloading trucks, stocking and facing shelves, building displays, helping customers locate items, greeting customers, and operating the register to total purchases. A high school diploma is preferred; strong communication and basic math skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and follow plan-o-gram guidance.
• Basic cash handling and math skills.
• Ability to operate IBM cash registers.
• Strong interpersonal communication and safety awareness.
• Comfort with handheld scanners and stocking tools.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and unpack cartons or totes.
• Stock merchandise and rotate on shelves.
• Build and set up merchandise displays.
• Assist customers in locating items.
• Greet customers and operate the cash register.
• Accept payments, make change, and bag purchases.
• Restock recovered merchandise and keep store clean.
• Support ordering using hand-held scanners as needed.
