Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) in Cedar Park, TX is seeking a Sales Manager to lead the sales team and drive key performance results. You will recruit, coach, schedule, and develop staff to meet customer needs and sales targets.

You will manage performance reviews, training, and daily operations, while upholding NFM's values of service, reliability, and community involvement. This full-time role may require evening and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, sales/marketing or related area.
• 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
• 2 years of sales experience in retail or similar environment.
• Shadow trainer experience preferred; product knowledge is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to train and develop staff with strong communication skills.
• English/Spanish bilingual speakers preferred.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to work nights and/or weekends based on business needs.
• Pre-employment background screening required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview and hire sales staff to meet staffing needs.
• Manage performance reviews, meetings and staff scheduling.
• Observe staff performance and provide coaching and recognition.
• Coach staff on product knowledge and selling skills.
• Drive process improvements and participate in training events.
• Resolve merchandise questions and issues with customers.
• Maintain department goals, control expenses and paperwork accuracy.
