Job summary

The Coast Guard Exchange in Miami Beach, FL is seeking a Sales Clerk Leader to join our retail team. You will welcome customers, keep product knowledge current, and help shoppers select merchandise while maintaining high service standards.

The role includes daily cash handling, price changes, stock checks, and possible supervision of other staff. Weekend work is required; prior retail experience and USCG NAF clerk familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior retail experience in inventory control and retail sales.
• Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
• USCG NAF sales clerk experience preferred (at least 6 months).

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and assist with merchandise selection.
• Maintain product knowledge and respond quickly to customer concerns with a sense of importance.
• Operate cash register and handle cash, checks, credit cards, and receipts.
• May assist with stock, pricing, markdowns, signage, and communicate with HQ on special orders.
• Direct or supervise other employees and perform opening/closing duties as required.
