Coast Guard Exchange is seeking a Sales Clerk Leader in Southwest Harbor, ME to oversee the sales department and deliver outstanding customer service. You will manage inventory, assist with pricing and promotions, and supervise staff as needed while ensuring accuracy in cash handling and store operations.

The role includes lifting requirements and weekend/holiday scheduling as part of an intermittent work schedule, with pay of $18.13/hour plus DOE.

Qualifications

• Prior retail experience in inventory control and sales.
• Ability to routinely lift 10 pounds and occasionally 25 pounds; stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers, maintain product knowledge and assist with merchandise selection.
• Oversee operations of the sales department and stock levels; assist with pricing and signage as needed.
• Operate cash register, process payments, and maintain accurate cash-handling procedures.
• Direct or supervise staff in the absence of management and ensure policy compliance.
• Follow safety standards and loss prevention procedures; perform related duties as assigned.
