Job summary

Coast Guard Exchange in Seattle is seeking a Sales Clerk Leader to support merchandise sales and customer service at the Exchange. You will help customers select items, maintain product knowledge, and ensure smooth daily store operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires prior retail experience with inventory control, cash handling, and some supervisory duties. Weekend availability is required and you may coordinate with HQ for special orders and promotions.

Qualifications

• Minimum retail experience in inventory control and retail sales.
• Experience operating a cash register and handling cash transactions.
• Previous supervisory experience in a retail setting is preferred. And/or current USCG NAF sales clerk experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and assist in merchandise selection.
• Maintain product knowledge and provide outstanding customer service.
• Manage store operations including stock levels, pricing, markdowns, and signage.
• Coordinate with HQ on special orders and communicate with management about store needs.
• Assist in training staff on cash register duties and conduct basic employee evaluations.
