Job summary

Soma in Lansing, MI is seeking a Sales Lead to partner with store leadership, supervise the team, and set the tone for a welcoming, customer‑centered experience that reflects our culture of hospitality.

You will coach and develop the team, manage scheduling, cash handling and inventory, share brand priorities, and leverage an omni‑channel approach to meet sales goals while building lasting customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Retail management experience preferred, 2 years.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to develop strong customer and peer relationships.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist store leadership with general store operations, including opening and closing responsibilities.
• Share brand priorities and messages with store teams.
• Lead by example on the sales floor, sharing product knowledge and using an omni-channel approach.
• Provide coaching to keep the team on track with performance goals.
• Execute operations: cash handling, scheduling, inventory management, merchandise replenishment.
• Be knowledgeable about current sales, promotions, and store policies.
• Support associate development, coaching feedback, and scheduling when needed.
• Share ideas with the store leadership team and contribute to a positive work environment.
