Job summary

The Salvation Army Pleasant Hill Store is seeking a part-time Sales Associate/Material Handler to greet customers and donors, stock merchandise, and maintain a clean and organized store. The role requires the ability to operate the POS/Cash Register, pass a background check, and communicate effectively with team members and donors.

Work is part-time with flexible scheduling across seven days. Previous cashiering and customer service experience are preferred, and physical requirements include

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Must be able to operate POS/Cash Register.
• Must pass background check, which will include Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers and donors.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors and provide prompt, courteous assistance.
• Stock priced items ready to be merchandised on the sales floor.
• Sort donations according to Salvation Army Standards.
• Assist in maintaining store cleanliness and organization, including cleaning duties as assigned.
