Job summary

The Salvation Army - Pleasant Hill Store is seeking a part-time Sales Associate/Material Handler to support both customer service and donation processing in a busy thrift environment.

You will greet customers, stock merchandise, process donations, and operate the cash register while maintaining a clean, organized store. A high school diploma and background check are required, with shifts including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Must pass background check including criminal history and sex offender registry.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, staff, customers and donors.
• Must be able to operate POS/Cash Register.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and donors and assist with their needs.
• Stock and merchandize priced items on the sales floor.
• Sort donations for processing per TSA standards.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization; perform cleaning tasks.
• Follow POS/Cash Register policies.
• Maintain safety standards and report hazards.
• Flexibility to work various part-time shifts including evenings and weekends.
• Provide receipts to donors.
