Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Decatur, Indiana is seeking a friendly Retail Sales Associate to deliver excellent customer service, ring up sales, and help process donations. This part-time role requires 18 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

You will help stock, tag, and display merchandise, keep the shop organized, and work with teammates to meet daily goals while learning store procedures through paid training.

Qualifications

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and dependable Retail Sales Associate to provide great customer service, keep the store organized, and jump in where needed, while creating a welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors.

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers & donors and provide friendly, helpful service
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately
• Assist donors with donations according to center policy
• Sort, process, hang, tag, price, and prepare donated merchandise
• Move priced merchandise to the sales floor, display areas, or other designated locations.
• Keep the store clean, safe, and organized
• Work with team members to support daily sales and production goals
• Other duties as assigned
