Job summary

The Salvation Army Thrift Store in Decatur, IN is seeking a part-time Retail Sales Associate to greet customers, process sales at the register, and support donors with donations. This role requires a friendly, dependable team player and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

You’ll handle merchandise tagging, stocking, and store upkeep, while delivering a welcoming shopping experience. Paid training and ongoing coaching are provided; prior retail or POS experience is a plus, and

About the Role

At The Salvation Army Thrift Store, your work helps turn donations into funding for programs that support people in our community. We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and dependable Retail Sales Associate to provide great customer service, keep the store organized, and jump in where needed, while creating a welcoming shopping experience for customers and donors.

What You’ll Do

• Greet customers & donors and provide friendly, helpful service
• Operate the register and process sales transactions accurately
• Assist donors with donations according to center policy
• Sort, process, hang, tag, price, and prepare donated merchandise
• Move priced merchandise to the sales floor, display areas, or other designated locations.
