Part‑Time Retail Sales Associate

$14.00 to $15.50 per hour.

Commission: Up to 8% on transactions; potential average additional $1.00 per hour on top of hourly rate.

Position Summary

Entry‑level, part‑time sales associates in pawn store locations nationwide. Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with whole staff to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides. Greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. Handles jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with all customers to build rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains a clean, stocked sales floor and displays merchandise.
• Processes sales and loan transactions per company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles cash and negotiable items per policies.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates with coworkers and managers respectfully and effectively.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive customer experience.
• Completes assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing and able to perform duties requiring standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting for extended periods.
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
• May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage areas.
• Minimum age 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency with basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Able to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Willing to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate; able to operate POS systems and office machines.

Commission Plan Information

The commission incentive plan is proprietary. Pawnbrokers can earn 2‑8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance.
