Part‑Time Retail Sales Associate

We are currently looking for the right part‑time retail sales associate to join our team! Pay range: $12.00 to $15.00 per hour. We offer a commission structure that pays you for every transaction processed. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, which could average an additional $1.00 per hour on top of your hourly rate.

Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, part‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The role partners with the entire store staff to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. They work with jewelry, general merchandise, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more. Pay will be hourly plus commission based on productivity, with factors such as location, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise properly.
• Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Effectively communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully completes assigned training.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications

• Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Must be willing and able to perform duties such as standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting for extended periods.
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
• Employees may be asked to assist a customer outside the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
• Minimum age 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Should be able to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
• Must have ability to work a flexible retail schedule based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.

Commission Plan Information

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary. Pawnbrokers may earn 2‑8% commission based on gross profit of personal performance. Additional details will be provided during the interview process.

Payrates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements.
