New Balance Athletics in Asheville, NC is seeking Part-time Retail Sales Associates to deliver exceptional customer service and product knowledge on the shop floor. You will assist customers through the entire purchase process, maintain an inviting store environment, and support promotional events.

The role requires a friendly, team-oriented individual with strong communication and basic math skills, able to handle lifting up to 50 lbs and flexible weekend/holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Should be a people person.
• Past retail experience preferred, but not necessary.
• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to flourish in a team environment.
• Familiarity with cash register functions.
• Ability to quickly perform basic math.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and navigate the sales floor.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service using proper selling techniques and product knowledge.
• Understand the customer's needs and educate them on product features and benefits.
• Solve customer problems and answer questions.
• Transact sales through suggestive and multiple selling and closing.
• Correctly measure and fit customers with appropriate NB products.
• Inform customers about promotions and prices.
• Keep the sales floor neat, organized, and well stocked.
• Ensure items are labeled and price-marked accurately.
• Protect products by monitoring floor merchandise and reporting shrinkage.
• Follow safety procedures and report accidents or near misses.
